Nor SectorOp or anything like that. Aren't they all Filecore-based-FS things?
Ah, sounds like you have an older MassFS then. What version is it?
MassFS does support FileCore and calls FileCore_Create to create the filesystem, so it should really implement at least the basic FileCore requirements!
I'll take a look at MassFS_DriveOp as that looks like its probably in all versions.

As noted in the post you shorten-quoted, it's 1.00.
I was unaware of any newer version. Phooey.
EDIT: Sounds like 1.00 was/is standard for the Unipod?

Sorry, I missed that.

On the RiscPC, MassFS1.98 just spins the hourglass for a while and does nothing - no drive icon appears (yes, I edited the OtherDevs file).
EDIT: Can't get MassFS 1.98 to do much on the A9 either. (USB is now working - USB mouse works...)
EDIT2: Nope. I don't know what's going on here - plugging in a USB stick, when it's got a valid "OtherDevs" entry just causes hourglass for a few seconds, then nada. Found another 32GB stick that let me format it as FAT32 in Windows, no change in behaviour in RISC OS.

There's an updated build
available which resolves an issue with the FileCore end disc marker - noted by !DiskKnight and fixed with David Ruck's help. I've also added some addition checks and a fall-back for SCSI devices which return an invalid READ CAPACITY (16) result.

Updated build
available , with a rewrite of CDFS support to hopefully avoid system locks cause by stack corruption.
Whilst testing, I also noticed a bug in CDFaker - I'll post an updated version in the coming days.

PM 0.99 (latest version) with OakSCSI card installed goes mad...
pm099l.png (2.97 KiB) Viewed 23640 times
Not only does it set its window to be a mad colour, it doesn't even show up the ZIDEFS partitions in the same machine.

SCSI card is a separate issue. The mad colours and failure to parse the drive is still happening without the SCSI card installed.
This is a brand new 8bit ZIDEFS card in an A3000, with 1GB DOM (two partitions) as supplied directly by Ian Stocks.
