Hi, as it states in the subject. I have learnt that there are 3 verions of Chocks Away Compendium - original, Mark II and SA version. Mark II version seems to be improved version of the original Chocks Away version plus Chocks Away Extra Missions pack which runs only with Chocks Away Mark II version. Same is with SA version, but as far as I understood, SA version is runnable from the hard drive, while Mark II runs only from the floppies. But what about the original version of Chocks Away Compendium? What does it contain? Is it original version of Chocks Away + Chocks Away Extra Missions? I could not find any information or covers about the original version to learn more about this version. Thank you in advance for any feedeback.

There were three releases of the Compendium:
Chocks Away Compendium (1991)
Chocks Away Compendium [Mark 2 version] (1991)
Chocks Away Compendium [SA version] (2000)

There were two releases of Chocks Away:
Chocks Away (1990)
Chocks Away [Mark 2 version] (1991)

The SA version was only ever released as the Compendium.

Chocks Away Extra Missions (1991) appears to have been released in parallel with the Mark 2 version as it requires Mark 2.

All versions, except for the SA release run from floppies only, although I have fixed that with the Mark 2 release provided here - ADFFS will patch it as it loads to allow it to run from HD provided the instructions I provided are followed.

Hopefully that clears things up.

EDIT: Corrected the details above. The separate Extra Missions I have requires Mark 2, but I suspect there's also a version that works with the original release as the first release of Compendium comes bundled with it. I looked back at their magazine adverts, but it's not clear when everything switched over to Mark 2. It's also not clear from the file dates as the Mark 2 files appear to be dated before the original release.

The original Compendium release contained the original release + the original Extra Missions disc.

Sorry, I stand corrected - I've corrected my post above and added some clarification. The original release is in my database and I even have images of the floppies (although not an original boxed version), so I'm not sure how I got that wrong.
