Hi

I’m trying to set this up on my A3020. I’ve read the instructions and installed and run the adffs
The icons loads but when I double click a image after changing the file type to floppy it begins to load and I get a error internal branch through zero

Then I get the error file core is in use

Its does the same on the aculator if I image the hdd and mount it

Hold SHIFT when you power on to bypass the boot sequence, then load !ADFFS and see if the problem still occurs.

How much memory does your A3020 have? ADFFS needs 4MB as a minimum

Thanks for the reply I’ll give that a try . I do indeed have 4meg. It’s strange though as it does the same error on the emulator.

At a guess...you have an old version of CLib in !System and are loading a C based app in your boot sequence, which is prevent ADFFS from then loading the minimum version of CLib it requires.

Bypassing the boot sequence will confirm if it is something in the boot sequence interfering.

Thanks again for the info. Wil try again when I get home.. I'm new to whole Archie scene as when I left school they where just coming into the school.. Grey up with Beebs and commodore. And recently had one donated to my YouTube channel.

So I've fixed it up now its a learning process. Is there a link anywhere where I can download the updated Clin or !system

System resources from ROOL, although I would not advise doing that as you will struggle to fix it, if stuff breaks.

Just search !Boot for CLib, drag them into a text editor and if the title string version is older than the one in !ADFFS.3rdParty replace it with the copy from ADFFS. From memory it should be in !Boot.Resources.!System.310.Modules

Before you do that though, perform the check I suggested to see if it is something in your Boot sequence that’s causing the issue.
