I think what I need to do next is investigate where FileCore is locking to confirm if it's VCHIQ, IRQsema or something else causing the lock. I'll probably also add a watchdog to see if locks such as this can be recovered, although without a reliable source of time, I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to determine if it's locked - I'll try adding a high priority RTSupport thread and see if that continues to get called when it's locked.

@Jon: I hope you can come up with a solution with no hiccups... ADFFS is SO great because games look as they originally did, perfectly smooth scroll is a fudamental part :)
