Pipe Mania (1989) (Krisalis Software)
Re: Pipe Mania (1989) (Krisalis Software)
Sounds like you possibly have file corruption, either from the download or the copy process. If you download the full Archive and extract the JFD from it on a PC, you will at least be able to confirm there's no errors.

I thought the same thing so that's what I did and lo and behold if it didn't work. Pretty tough game to get a high score on.JonAbbott wrote:Sounds like you possibly have file corruption, either from the download or the copy process. Re: Pipe Mania (1989) (Krisalis Software)
I think I'm encountering a bug in the Packman version of Pipe Mania (from https://www.jaspp.org.uk/packages/relea ... -Mania_0-3) After completing the first level, I always get "game over" even if I get through the required number of pipe segments. When running the JFD image via ADFFS I can get through the first few levels without a problem.
I'm running both versions on Arculator emulating on A3020, with ADFFS Lite 2.84.

Thanks for raising the issue with the packed version, I'll test and report back
EDIT: I've just played to level 3 on a Pi, so the package appears to be okay. The packaged versions are designed for RISC OS 3.5 onward, so I'm not surprised it doesn't work under RISC OS 3.1x.
I do plan to go back and test/fix the packages under RISC OS 3.1 - but that won't be until I've finished coding the GUI for RISC OS 3.1 so you can direct download them.
