ADFFS future feature testing

Re: ADFFS future feature testing
Fixed with latest obey.zip. The EventV code wasn't checking for the "Start of Bar" event, so both the game and the music would speed up as you pressed keys and the number of VSyncs/sec changed - for some bizarre reason, the game uses the beat from the sound scheduler for the game code.Pysanki - music stutters
There's still a bug to fix though, as the music is too slow on the Pi. Oddly, the game appears to be the correct speed despite it hanging off the same event.
Re: ADFFS future feature testing
@Jon: Found a video of Sylvia Layne and it seems to work the same here.
Pysanki also sounds way better now.

Re: ADFFS future feature testing
These are fixed with today's build, I've uploaded 2.60 RC1 to the dev site. I've had to update the boot scripts of the following games, to correct bugs in the code:Alone in the Dark - Crashes: Uncaught trap - Internal error, undefined instruction at &2027459C
Empire Soccer '94 - Crashes after title screen
Populous - Hangs when clicking on START GAME
F1008001 Chopper Force
F1015401 Fire & Ice
If you have either installed to HD, you'll need to update !Run before they'll work with the new Modules. Could you please see if this build has any effect on the issue you're seeing in Dune II.
Re: ADFFS future feature testing
@Jon: Alone in the Dark an Populus work ok now.
As for Dune II, I still get the exact same blue screen.

Re: ADFFS future feature testing
This is clutching at straws...could you try replacing it with the Dune II ZIP that's in the Untested folder. !Run has already been updated.Vanfanel wrote:Dune II, I still get the exact same blue screen.
Re: ADFFS future feature testing
@Jon: Done. I still get the same blue screen...
Re: ADFFS future feature testing
Updated Modules and obey.zip which get The Crystal Maze and Guile running. You'll need the full archive of Crystal Maze for the protection.
Re: ADFFS future feature testing
@Jon: "The Crystal Maze" gives me a black screen on the Pi1.
Re: ADFFS future feature testing
Fixed with updated Modules.Repton 3 / Repton 3 Four Game Compilation - crash the machine shortly after pressing CTRL+SHIFT+F12
Are you running from floppy or HD?Vanfanel wrote:@Jon: "The Crystal Maze" gives me a black screen on the Pi1.
Updated obey.zip on the dev site which gets Repton 3 Four Game Compilation and Superior Golf working. Note that using MENU/ADJUST to select a golf club is too fast, click on the club to select from a list instead.
EDIT: obey.zip further updated and gets Trivial Pursuit and Ravenskull working.
