Re: Chuck Rock (again)

Could it be hardware related...the WE VIDC Enhancer for example? Or a podule? I can rule out the VIDC Enhancer. It's totally transparent if AutoVIDC isn't loaded and the Arc just has the 24MHz clock so after trying Chuck Rock with AutoVIDC unloaded I can say it's not that. Podule wise, I've got an ...

Re: Chuck Rock (again)

It's my A410/1 with 4MB RAM, an ARM3 processor and a WE VIDC Enhancer fitted. I've managed to upgrade my !System folder. Everything is stable now at least... the WindowManager module (v5.xx) in the ROOL distro hangs my machine so I rolled that back to 3.98. Also one of the scripts attempts to RMLoad...

Re: Chuck Rock (again)

LOL, that's completely the opposite of my experience. In an attempt to do some more testing, I updated the !System folder this morning with the one on the ROOL site for older machines... It just killed my boot sequence and now Uniboot hangs before getting to the desktop. Sigh. I'll have to roll it a...

Chuck Rock (again)

I know I've mentioned this before but I've figured something out which may help in debugging this... Essentially, when I boot with Uniboot and try to run Chuck Rock, it hangs on the Krisalis screen more often than not. However, I have found a way to ensure that it does not hang. This is what I do. 1...

Re: AutoVIDC 2.09

A quick update and I think I hit a bug in RISC OS.... ...snip... When I left the exerciser running it would perform thousands of loops but eventually RISC OS would hang completely requiring a RESET. So I have a bit more info regarding this. It's not RISC OS 3.11 itself, it's something in the Uniboo...

Re: 2.14 release

If you're planning on adding in AutoVIDC into the release too, I'd like to wait until I know 2.09 is good to go given the instabilities I've had this last week. Also, I'm thinking that I'll simply increment the version number to 2.10 for its official release just to make sure that everyone has a goo...

Re: AutoVIDC crashing Chuck Rock with VIDC enhancer board

No. It has caused me two 4am finishes this weekend... It's been a real pain to get sorted but sorted it is :D I've not coded through the night like that in *years*. You know how it is, you have a problem and you just have to nail it no matter what... All good fun :D I've re-uploaded my disk image an...

Re: AutoVIDC crashing Chuck Rock with VIDC enhancer board

Rather oddly, it seems the uncompressed version is date stamped the 26th of May. It should be the 2nd of June?
