Re: ADFFS 2.74

Interesting! So I wasn't exiting the game because the loader is a different program?
I guess Dune II does the same, yes.

Re: Starfighter 3000 and ADFFS

@Jon: Thanks! I will try the F1070501 in !ADFFS.obey script to boot the game from Riscworld Vol 8.

BTW, the SF3000 file on the Riscworld Vol 8 issue 6, do you know what filetype is it supposed to have?
I have it on an ISO image, and I can't extract it without losing the filetype information.

Re: Starfighter 3000 and ADFFS

@Jon: I woul LOVE to take a look at ST3000 TNG. I can't find a single image or video of that version! Did you get permission to release that version in the end? If you got a 32bit version, does it work on the Pi natively or using ADFFS? The APDL pages are down, so currently the only way to get the T...

Re: ADFFS 2.74

@Jon -With regards to Cataclysm, I can consistently hang the system if I quit via CTRL+SHIFT+F12 on the tittle screen (the one with the static image of a waterfall and eerie music). Same happens with Cataclysm[SA]. Quitting from actual gameplay seems fine. -With regards to Wavelenght, changing GOARM...

Re: Cataclysm[SA] installs to a folder called 1048200

@Jon: -Icon and excution of Cataclysm [SA] is now correct. -Joystick problems only happen if I have the wired joystick gamepad when I click on the ADFFS icon. If I connect the wired gamepad AFTER clicking on the ADFFS icon, there are no problems I can even use the gamepad in Cataclysm and Cataclysm ...

Re: ADFFS 2.74

-Cataclysm: hangs the computer if lauched with an USB joystick connected. Also, hangs the computer when quitting via CTRL+SHIFT+F12 -Cobalt Seed: hangs the computer when quitting via CTRL+SHIFT+F12 -Wavelenght: Returns to the desktop via menu option, but screen remains black until reboot.

Re: Cataclysm[SA] installs to a folder called 1048200

I’ll rename the SA version and update the package soon. The package is now up. Thanks, Jon! I believe there were others doing the same, so if I find them I will tell you :) Ah! Cataclysm [SA] now installs as "Cataclysm", BUT it's missing the icon: it's showing a generic "App" gr...

Cataclysm[SA] installs to a folder called 1048200

Hello there,

When installing Cataclysm[SA] via !PackMan, it installs in a folder named 1048200, which is the release number of the game I think.

The normal Archimedes version installs to the expected folder. Is this intended behavior so both versions don't "overlap"?

Thanks!

Re: ADFFS 2.74

Hi Jon!

I am having some fun these days with ADFFS 2.74.
Thanks for this new release, and for keeping the Risc OS gaming dream alive, really. I have no words for all the efforts you put into this thru the years!

I am posting here the problems I find with it during my tests and plays.

Re: Joystick support changes

@Jon This is truly fantastic to see new betas with improved joystick support!!
IS there anything special to test on games? Previously I had 1 button support working with latest stable ADFFS (2 buttons support so we can avoid the "up-to-jump" syndrome would be great!).
