Re: Speed and sync issue in games
Some games that I wanted to back up and transfer to PC ended up with the 68e extension (or file type) and when I put them back on risc os and arcem, I couldn't access them anymore. If you need to transfer files via a host OS, ZIP them within the source RISC OS machine first (using !SparkFS ) to ret...

Re: Speed and sync issue in games
This works just fine with some games It will only work with games that either call OS_Byte 19 to wait for the Vsync, or use OS_Byte 112 to bank switch. All other games are covered by patches in the ADFFS Boot scripts . Flashback is not responding at all and the sound is still out of sync. You can r...

Re: Speed and sync issue in games
You should be using PackMan on the Pi to download the pre-packaged games. They will all run at the correct speed and you'll also be able to use a USB Joystick, such as an XB360 controller. For the games that aren't sourced via PackMan, you're more or less on your own, but I'd suggest installing them...

Re: ADFFS 2.84 public beta
I have a Pinebook Pro and have had a bit of a play. I am currently running the Sound /PCi beta Rom from RCcomp. (I think the PineA64 Rom on ROOL is for the original Pinebook and not suitable for the Pro and so have not looked at that) If the Pinebook Pro OS build is closed source, you would have to...

ADFFS 2.84 public beta
This update no longer requires EDID to be disabled ("disable_mode_changes" no longer required in CMDLINE/TXT) on a Pi as it uses GPU overlays to upscale the image. It might also work on OMAP (untested) and other GraphicsV drivers that support hardware overlays. Because of this issue on the...

Re: Partition Manager 1.02
E, Risc PC=4GB I don't think this is accurate. RISC OS 3.6 and 3.7 can support up to 128GB. I've removed that text above as there's about half a dozen checks performed that limit the maximum size, including Filecore version, Drive size, LBA size, SWI the Filesystems supports and LBA addressing mode...

Re: Premier Manager
Premier Manager is in the games section, where you can download a JFD image of the floppy for use with ADFFS . General support question are probably better raised on StarDot as this site is more focused on the games themselves and getting them working on modern machines. If your A5000 isn't network...

Re: ADFFS 2.83
Unfortunately that functionality doesn't seem to work reliably. I tried it on Provocator and it didn't work. The key point is the floppy has to be ejected before the JFD is written back. Obviously some games don't let you quit, so it's impossible to manually eject the floppy. In that scenario you m...
