Re: Partition Manager 1.02

E, Risc PC=4GB I don't think this is accurate. RISC OS 3.6 and 3.7 can support up to 128GB. I've removed that text above as there's about half a dozen checks performed that limit the maximum size, including Filecore version, Drive size, LBA size, SWI the Filesystems supports and LBA addressing mode...

Re: Premier Manager

Premier Manager is in the games section, where you can download a JFD image of the floppy for use with ADFFS . General support question are probably better raised on StarDot as this site is more focused on the games themselves and getting them working on modern machines. If your A5000 isn't network...

Re: ADFFS 2.83

Unfortunately that functionality doesn't seem to work reliably. I tried it on Provocator and it didn't work. The key point is the floppy has to be ejected before the JFD is written back. Obviously some games don't let you quit, so it's impossible to manually eject the floppy. In that scenario you m...

Re: ADFFS 2.83

this seems to be a general issue when saving scores back to protected disks. Official JFD floppy images update when a game saves to them. If you've imaged your own floppies, ensure you image with Write protect unticked and Auto flush ticked, if the game writes to it. Auto flush will re-write the JF...

Re: ADFFS 2.83

Do you happen to know if high score saving would therefore work for these re-releases The UCS versions aren't fundamentally different to the Eterna originals, the only real difference is with the disc protection. EDIT: The following games save the Highscore: Rockfall, KerBang!, Bubble Fair, Poizone...

wmd wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 5:44 pm About the Uffenkamp re-releases of the Eterna games - using ADFFS, can they be installed to HD, unlike the original releases?
The ADFFS boot scripts for them certainly look like that's possible as they're all checking if they're run via Boot floppy or manually and do not have hardcoded paths.

Re: ADFFS 2.83

Physically ejecting the floppy disc then reinserting fixes the problem. Probably best to avoid inserting a physical floppy until a mounted floppy image has been ejected as ADFFS can't ask ADFS to rescan the drive 0 when it hands back control. ADFS works off the hardware and whilst ADFFS has taken o...

Re: ADFFS 2.83

- Open a JFD via ADFFS - Eject JFD - Click :0 drive (with a physical floppy in drive) - error: "Filecore does not understand this disc" - Click :0 drive again, physical disc reads normally Could you try the following and let me know if it still reports an error: Open a JFD via ADFFS Dismo...

F1016301 Flying High: Euroblaster (1997) (GEK) F1016302 Flying High: Joust (1997) (GEK) In obey.zip these two are mixed up - the F1016301 file is for Joust, while the F1016302 file is for Euroblaster. Thanks for reporting. obey.zip is actually correct, it's the ID in the OP that was the wrong way r...
