Re: ADFFS 2.40
I have tried the remapvideomemory command, but it made no difference to the game. When I pressed F12 and typed it, I got a mode 9 screen, but it was clearly split into two (one above the other). I checked that by typing 'rommodules' and seeing the scrolling output. I definitely have SparkFS loaded. ...

Re: ADFFS 2.40
ADFFS starts. I can open the Pacmania disk image and see the files. 'Boot floppy' starts the game, but... instead of one display, I see several of them arranged in a tile. Can you confirm that !SparkFS is running, as it doesn't sound like they're being run through the latest boot scripts. If it can...

Re: ADFFS 2.40
Further to this, I have tried Terramex. It shows two copies of the screen, but placed at the top of my TV! The space below is all grey. Similar with Mad Professor.
I have tried the latest Pi firmware from GitHub, but no difference. Not sure what else to try now!

Re: ADFFS 2.40
Hi chaps, Not sure if this is strictly the right thread, but I've managed to give 2.40beta a whirl on a Pi. I have made my own SD image using a ROM image dates 10th March 2014, alogside a HardDisk4 image of the same date. My config.txt is as recommended, but the hdmi_mode is 20 (for 1080i, since my ...

Re: ADFFS 2.39 beta
Thanks for the info. Since I assume that you are only worrying about supporting 32-bit RISC OS 5 (RISC OS 6 is basically irrelevant), then I guess there might be the option of contributing OS updates to ROOL which might assist ADFFS?

Re: ADFFS 2.39 beta
Out of interest Jon, what do you mean by '26 bit module support'? Some sort of way for legacy modules to run, as presumably many games contain modules for compression/sound/joystick etc.?

Re: ADFFS 2.31 beta
Jon, please don't be disheartened. I am very excited by the entire project, and think the work to date is phenomenal. I have been tracking progress, but I do not even have appropriate hardware etc. I was toying with finding an old Arc, but the way things are panning out, maybe I should get a Pi? I d...

Re: RISCOS Pi errors when playing games
To be fair, from what Jon has said elsewhere, I think it is the eventual aim (to have everything 32-bit neutral). It seems to me that if you have a basic Archimedes (e.g. A310, A3000) then you have the best compatibility. Efforts have been made to get titles to work on the later Acorn machines (e.g....

Re: RISCOS Pi errors when playing games
I do not think there is yet any solution for running non-32-bit games on a Pi.
Simplest solution now would be to try ArcEm (for RISC OS) which should run on the Pi, and give you a plain Archimedes emulation. ADFFS should run within ArcEm.
