Re: Screen image doubling / quadrupling issue

Not sure 5.24 is particularly up to date. Can you try a more recent SD image, such as RISC OS Direct? Or update your system with a nightly ROM.

Looks like this

Re: Re: ADFFS on A3000

AUNMsgs has recently been removed from the ROM. It is not needed. However, your Boot sequence is out of date, so still has references to it. If you download the latest HardDisc4 from ROOL and merge it over your current one, you should be fine. This should always be done with a ROM image update, as t...

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

Excellent. I’ve just tried it and confirm that it’s working for me too.

That’s pretty amazing progress, from my initial vague comment to a pretty comprehensive fix in a couple of days!

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

Magic! There is the step I didn't make... It was the order that was critical! We have had some of the StrongEd discussion before, but it didn't make sense. Now it does. I can confirm that it works as expected. If ADFFS is started first, then its all good. If StrongEd is/was started first, I get 'ADF...

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

I have tried upgrading my RISC OS ROM (was only a week or two old anyway) and with killing USBJoystick. No difference. Also tried re installing. Then I removed StrongEd from my boot sequence. Break 147 starts! One time I tried CTRL-ESC i got a lock-up and an AODT error (but now I cannot reproduce, a...

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

OK, so with 2.72g, 2067BC, BigBang and Crystal Maze are better.

Chocks Away, Break 147 and Superpool still lock on the loading screen. CTRL-BREAK to the rescue!

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

I have tried a handful of games. Chocks Away locking the machine solid when the loading screen appears (CTRL-BREAK doesn't even work). Superpool and Break 147 are similar, but CTRL-BREAK still works. 2067BC crashes before it even leaves the desktop with AODT at FC02B5D8 and attempt to use badly nest...

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

I think 0.15 should be fine, as it includes the ADC/OSByte fix for Populous but doesn't have any keyboard or mouse emulation stuff enabled.

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

I normally load USBJoystick loads of times, without an issue, so it must be something subtle which only E-Type is showing up. Maybe bytev? I will look. A quick check would be to add debug output for all OS_Claim/OS_Release and use the non-X version of OS_Release to confirm they're releasing correct...

Re: ADFFS 2.71 beta

If you're reloading USBJoystick after its already loaded, then I think the issue may be that something isn't being released when its RMKilled and it's that that's causing the issues. You might be onto something there. I was just trying loading things the other way around, and found the pointerv-les...
