Re: ADFFS 2.38 beta

Hi Jon!

I've been trying to run this new version this weekend, but as soon as I double-click it, my Pi hangs. Risc OS freezes completely.
I've tried both BETA Rpi ROM (2014-03-02) and RC-12 (2014-02-25), with identical results.

Re: ADFFS 2.34 beta

Tested the PAL SDTV mode 2. It works fine, and it produces a 50Hz picture (reported by my monitor). This monitor is also used for Minimig and Amiga 1200, where PAL demos and games are totally smooth, using the same RCA connector. However, PacMania still shows "jumps" every 1-2 seconds. It's PHYSICAL...

Re: ADFFS 2.34 beta

PAC-MANIA is working here, too! This is what I had to do: -Re-install the 07-2013 Risc OS version to SD -Replace the boot partition contents with the latest versions -Replace the !Boot text file inside !Boot with the one from the latest Hardisc4 IF I replacen the whole !Boot folder, Risc OS would bo...

Re: ADFFS 2.34 beta

OK, tried PACMANIA and I get no tearing on the tittle screen, but there's an occasional "jump" or "frame lost", once every few seconds. But after the intro (with Pacman being chased by the ghosts) I get: Internal error: abort on data transfer at &0138BFD0 and system crashes badly. I'm using today's ...

Re: ADFFS 2.34 beta

Hi, Jon! I'm setting a new Raspberry Pi just for Risc OS and this, as you seem to have reached my dreamed "scrolling perfection" at last. So, what Risc OS ROM/Hd-image should I use for this? Is 2013-07-10 distro OK, or should I need a recent ROM with the updated !Boot? Knowing it beforehand will sav...

Re: ADFFS 2.29 beta

Ok, forget about that game, then. I'm not buying a possibly unusable floppy disk containing a game from 1987 that wasn't even released in my country. That's just plain ridiculous. I have the game on Amiga anyway. About Pacmania, I have the default fake vsync isr option set on my config.txt Maybe we'...

Re: ADFFS 2.29 beta

Jon: I'm trying to load Zarch with the F1040201 obey file, but I can't get it working. What I do is: -Launch ADFFS -Mount the Zarch ADF -Copy over the F1040201 obey file to the !Zarch directory -Double click on the Obey file And I get a "file Zarch not found error", but the executable file "Zarch" i...

Re: ADFFS 2.29 beta

Pacmania working here on my Rpi. ROM version is BETA Rpi RC-11 (2013-07-08). However, it has a LOT of tearing. No smooth scroll as expected. My monitors DO support 50Hz modes (I use Minimig on them). Isn't there no way around this tearing? Smooth scroll was one of the main computer (Archie, Amiga, e...

Re: Raspberry Pi compatibility

I'll have to wait more, then. Thanks, Jon!
I want to run them natively on the Pi, same as you want :)
ArcEm is NOT an option for me.
