Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: Great! Now it works! When I press the only Pi-Top labeled key on my keyboard, I get: 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Do you need any other codes? Also, note that I had to comment out the PiTop utils module loading as you said, in order to "fix" system hanging when accessing USB drive...

Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: I have no USB4, but USB7, where the keyboard seems to live. This is what USBDescriptors says about it (Maybe I had it connected to a different USB port last time!): USBDescriptors v1.06 (29-Mar-2018) Computer | +-1.USB1: , Synopsys DWC OTG root hub | +-1.USB2: Hub | +-1.USB3: Hub | +-1.USB5: |...

Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: Tried the first device ID. It IS the pitop keyboard for sure, because it ONLY appears when the pitop keyboard is connected to the Pi. However, what the script does in that case is locking the keyboard: it does not respond anymore (the machine is not locked, I can see the blinking cursor) so I ...

Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: My keyb ID seems to be USB$DEVICE_FF_00_FF_0424_7800_* So I put that on the script, instead of the string it was looking for (your keyb ID I guess), and now all I get when I run the script is a window with the message "Press ESC to quit" If I run the script again without rebooting, I also get ...

Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: I have tried the BASIC script and when I run it I simply get a window with the messages: Press ESC to quit Press SPACE or click mouse to continue And that's all. Back to the desktop. Could you please add an option to map the middle button on the right button? After all, there's not much use fo...

Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: -I can see the hiccups on ADFFS games, too, not only on Manic Miner (which I don't know what's doing regarding video buffers...) For example, can you look at Fireball 2 scrolling text on the tittle screen? Can't you see the fast tearing / hiccups once in a while? -My keyboard seems to be UK, i...

Re: pi-top utilities

@Jon: Got it to work! I simply added hdmi_drive=2 to config.txt and the pitop-speaker sounds now! Great! Can you add it to the instructions on the first post, please? However, there are some problems and questions: -With the 50Hz video mode you recommend to use with the PiTop, there's a noticeable h...
