Re: KerBang! (1991) (Eterna)

Thanks for posting a comment Matt, its always good to hear from someone involved in the original game. You certainly aren’t the first that’s mentioned losing all evidence of ever being involved in a game, in fact I think you’re at least the third. If you have a Pi, you can even play it again...and r...

Re: Populous [RPC version] (2001) (R-Comp Interactive)

Launching from the JFD image on ADFFS v2.73, the game title screen appears and the demo sequence very rapidly runs which makes it tricky to click the menu options but when I click on Tutorial or Conquest I get 'Press space or click mouse to continue' and it quits. Am I missing a step? Try using Boo...

Happy to send you what I have so it can be preserved if needed I have an original waiting to scan and process, it's a case of finding the time to scan it along with all the others in the "In ...

Tried with R then tried with DEL, still no change.
Have you got your machine to the point we can grab an image of the floppy yet?

Do you also have a scanner? Could you scan all the packaging and floppy at 600DPI for me?

Re: ADFFS - multiple disks

Try swapping discs outside of the game to confirm it works. If you open ADFS:0 at the desktop and swap discs, it should close the window which makes it obvious that it’s working.

What is !Acorn Mode? It sounds like some kind of compatibility layer, which might interfere with ADFFS.

Re: ADFFS 2.73

That’s a different crash to the previous one and probably just the game’s internal error handler crashing. What does *WHERE 2037B5E8 report?

Re: Problem with imaging

Will this automatically overwrite the current windows manager module or will it have to be unplugged? It will merge the files from the ZIP into !Boot.!System, updating any old versions in the process. Provided your !Boot folder is up to date , it should load any newer Modules into RAM during boot, ...

Re: ADFFS 2.73

Zarch is failing with an illegible error (something like "zarch file not found"). I don't have it to hand to check, but I believe the Zarch package just boots the floppy image. From your description it sounds like it failed to change to ADFS:0 before it runs "Zarch" Elite works only sometimes. When...

Re: Zelanites memory

That option doesn't always work. For this game it gives Abort on data transfer &0185CE1C If you find Boot Floppy doesn't work for a game, please let me know so I can fix it. In this case could you please list the module addresses to a text file, then immediately use Boot Floppy and note the Abort a...
