Notes on sample source files
----------------------------

The source files in this directory are named
according to the following convention :

- A '1' or '2' is added to denote one or two
joysticks. A second joystick may be used for
games in which two players compete or for
games which have too many keys for one joystick,
( although using a joystick doesn't mean that
you can't press the occasional key ! ).

- An 'A', 'B', 'C' etc... is added to distinguish
different styles of joystick control for the
same game. For example, files are provided to
control the tank in 'Conqueror' using either
up-down-left-right (video game style) or left
  track forward-backward, right track forward-
  backward (simulation style).

Wherever possible the hidden 'flags' are programmed
to track each joystick's stir status. This allows
stirring actions to be seen in the screen border
by loading the control module in test mode ( this
is also true of all files generated with
!JS_Tutor ). The ability to see the current stir
status can be useful until you are good enough
at stirring to do it without mistakes.

Some programs have multiple 'states', such as move
tank or move turret in the single joystick version
of conqueror. Wherever possible the flags are used
to display the current 'state' in the border, again
using the control module's test mode.

Please remember that the joystick simulates certain
key presses. If you change the keys that a game
uses then the joystick program will no longer work
( many games allow you to do this, some allow you
to save the new keys 'permanently' ). You will
have to change the keys back or modify the joystick
program and recompile using !JS_Comp.
