I've just moved my school over to the hosted version of SIMS from Facility CMIS. Their remote app is hopeless! It can take minutes to login, load SIMS and pass the credentials through.

I wish I'd stayed self hosting.

A bit more progress :) - I now have an un-protected version of Arcventure 1 The Romans working under emulation - and also the Vikings demo running in RPCEmu on the Raspberry Pi 3b - Unfortunately my A3000 turned out to be beyond repair without several replacement parts so I think my next step is to find an Archimedes that still works then perhaps re-assemble the AV1 disks in non-protected format and image them.

When I get to that stage I think I will also get in touch with Sherston to to make sure we are clear on the copyright issue before releasing any materials into the wild :)

If you're going to the RISC OS London Show, I can image them for you there.

If you could PM me the contact details for Sherston, I'll have a conversation with them about releasing all their Archimedes titles.

Thanks Jon - I don't think I will be able to get out for the show but I should be ok with imaging - if I can get a disc set without the need for reading a zapped sector - that's the main problem at the moment. If I could find network versions that would solve that I think.

I have pinged a msg to the current Sherston owners (bigcleverlearning.com) - but I don't know if I am talking to the right person yet - they have passed me around a bit :) - If I get through to someone who can make decisions I'll let you know their details. If the contracts were the same as mine for other authors it may be that we have to approach each one for the copyright - but I can probably help with that.
