Re: USB Joystick driver

My joystick is a PSX original joystick that uses a GreenAsia adapter I cannot be 100% sure, but I am quietly confident that this will work on the next release (0.04). I have a similar adaptor which I ignored because I thought it wasn’t HID-compliant. But I plugged it in earlier this evening, and it...

Re: USB Joystick driver

Jon, funny you should say that. I’ve been looking at that just this second! There is indeed a feature I had not considered! I’ve put in the interface index into the offset, and now the aforementioned code in parse.c is working. I have a PSX/USB adaptor which previously didn’t work, and now it works!...

Re: USB Joystick driver

Can you download and run Reporter (like in my first post) and save the log from that (as a text file) when you run the USBJoystick module? It might help me find out why. Also, if you can download and run USBDescriptors from here http://ftpc.iconbar.com/usb/USBDescriptors.zip and save the output to a...

Re: USB Joystick driver

After much faffing around I've finally manage to get the 0.03 source to compile under DDE24 - had to create aliases for some commands and duplicate path variables, not to mention hunt down Append! Ah yes, I had some fun with FAppend being missing from my DDE (27), and I was going to raise that on t...

Re: USB Joystick driver

I've found the RTFM drivers here , based on which I've modified ADFFS so the check for the RTFM Joystick Interface works. Ah yes, I knew I’d downloaded them before from somewhere! I vaguely recall looking at the ReadJoy BASIC program. Shame the archive contains the Extend virus. It appears to use b...

Re: USB Joystick driver

I have just upped the version to 0.03.

The second stick on the Joystick_Status SWI was corrupt, and I have tried to indicate if the endpoint could not be opened on *USBJoystick_List

The archive also includes the source code.

Re: USB Joystick driver

Ah, yes. I shall have to try that (I have the freeware version somewhere). USBJoystick scans all connected devices, and anything that it decides looks like a joystick, it will try and talk to. Maybe HID is trying to do similar? I cannot recall the error-handling path when it cannot open the stream, ...

USB Joystick driver

Hi all, As previously mentioned, here is an alpha test version of my USB Joystick driver module (scroll to bottom of post for download link). Quick instructions follow. Requirements You need a RISC OS 5 machine with USB hardware. I have only tried a Pi model B+. In theory, any USB HID-compliant joys...

Re: USB Joystick on the Raspberry Pi?

Yeah, that’s probably more sensible than this stale thread resurrection!

I’m just going to do a couple of clean ups over the next few days, then I should have a prototype that I can post. When I’ve got that ready, I’ll post it in a new thread, along with some instructions etc.
