Re: Command Line Help

Getting stuff to autoboot in RISC OS is not specific to ADFFS. You need to set up ArculFS or create an hd4 file. Once you have that working, create a !Boot file which runs ADFFS. Configure RISC OS to boot from there and it will start automatically. Do you have ArculFS/HosrFS or an hd4 file? I think ...

Re: ADFFS 2.55 beta

I have given this a quick blast on a Pi model B+, with a RISC OS image from about a month ago. Following the instructions above re. AnyMode and the CONFIG/TXT file resulted in it all 'just working'. I was convinced that I would need to select an MDF, but it seems OK without. I shall try and do some ...

Re: ADFFS 2.54

I think in the short term we need some sort of beginners guide for ADFFS on the Pi. Run !ADFFS Double-click on floppy image Select "Boot floppy" from the ADFFS Filer I suppose you could add additional steps about extracting !ADFFS from the ZIP, ensuring !SparkFS is loaded and where to download the ...

Re: ADFFS 2.54

Semi-related to what Vanfanel said, but... I think in the short term we need some sort of beginners guide for ADFFS on the Pi. Unfortunately, getting RISC OS working on a Pi is a bit of a faff. I was thinking about writing up some instructions to get someone from downloading the RC14 image to playin...

Re: 26bit Module support

Out of interest, if you use AnyMode, does it work without needing the special mode in the MDF?

Re: NOOBS issues

That looks like the issue I had when I tried the same. I am sure I posted about it here. I have a feeling it was down to monitor type or the selected MDF. AnyMode did not seem to help, which I couldn't understand!

Re: Game requests

I have the CD version (somewhere!). It had no protection. I copied the entire game to a spare hard disk so a friend of mine could play it. There was no requirement to run via CDFS or such. I think CD burners and large disks were expensive back then!

Re: 26bit Module support

From what I remember of the 4D games, they come with a hard disk installer. Can you run that? Possibly with the aid of a custom boot script? Even if it works, you will still need to present disk 1 when you run it.
