Re: Site maintenance

What a shame that the project has been let down. I think it's phenomenal and I'm excited by it. I would love to help it along in whatever way, but I've refrained from doing so because I know in my heart of hearts I wouldn't be able to commit the time. I guess I'm more pessimistic. :)

Re: Site maintenance

Is it worth all the hassle of hosting your own forum? Maybe the good people at StarDot or IconBar can host JASPP content within their infrastructure?

Perhaps your server is being compromised?

Re: Magic Pockets (1993) (Renegade)

Ah, yes, that works fine. Problem must be in the full archive.

I'll admit: I had not noticed that the floppy icon was a different target than the 'full download' text! I had been clicking on the text for all the other games, assuming that was the only way. Silly me! Thanks for the tip!

Re: Magic Pockets (1993) (Renegade)

I am having trouble with this.

I have downloaded it several times. First time, I extracted the disk image and ADFFS reported broken directory when I tried to mount it. The next four times I downloaded it, I get 'bad archive' from SparkFS. Any ideas?

Re: ADFFS 2.40

Update: I am an idiot. I overlooked something silly. I could not get the screen display right, and remapvideomemory did not help. Guess why? I was using the 'generic' monitor definition file, which I barely considered, as it was giving me a lovely 1920x1080 desktop. I loaded the Acorn AKF50 file, an...

Re: ADFFS 2.40

Any particular reason you compress the obey scripts? Simply to get around the directory size limit on RO3.1. Ah, of course. I forgot about the 77 object nonsense! I guess another option could be to use multiple directories, so have two or three levels. Once the boot scripts are finalised they're ap...

Re: ADFFS 2.40

I have tried the remapvideomemory command, but it made no difference to the game. When I pressed F12 and typed it, I got a mode 9 screen, but it was clearly split into two (one above the other). I checked that by typing 'rommodules' and seeing the scrolling output. I definitely have SparkFS loaded. ...

Re: ADFFS 2.40

ADFFS starts. I can open the Pacmania disk image and see the files. 'Boot floppy' starts the game, but... instead of one display, I see several of them arranged in a tile. Can you confirm that !SparkFS is running, as it doesn't sound like they're being run through the latest boot scripts. If it can...

Re: ADFFS 2.40

Further to this, I have tried Terramex. It shows two copies of the screen, but placed at the top of my TV! The space below is all grey. Similar with Mad Professor.

I have tried the latest Pi firmware from GitHub, but no difference. Not sure what else to try now!
