Re: MusMod 2 QTM v0.01 available
it'll be much better for ADFFS to handle that in future. If you let me know the module names you want to use, I'll update the current source as I'm playing with DA's at the minute. I've read though all your notes now, although will go back and re-read as there's a lot to take in, I also need to loo...

Re: Multi-disc games post DA changes
Bizarrely it works when run under the WIMP on RO3.1 The only difference between the WIMP and Supervisor is about 10 instructions where ADFFS issues a Service_Memory service call, before taking the memory from the top of the application space. I have a hunch that MemLimit and ApplicationSpaceSize mig...

Re: Multi-disc games post DA changes
I've just been looking at BlowPipe. It works under VIDC translation on RO3.5 - so I'm sure there's a problem with the DA on RO3.1. I can sense days of painful debugging ahead of me! I'm going to add a *ADFReserveMemory command and alter the boot script, to see if it's related. Both BlowPipe and Cata...

Re: MusMod 2 QTM v0.01 available
I'm just reading through your notes. If you check the catalogue on the dev site, I documented all the versions being used, I think I found 7 versions in all. Initial thoughts: Reserving memory via * command sounds sensible, as it differs from game to game. Is there an easy way to tell how much memor...

Re: LCDGameModes v0.11
Just sent out by email v0.11 of LCDGameModes. We'll need to make some minor changes to LCDgm_init before it will work in ADFFS. It needs to do a #if to see if "adffs_version" is set, if so, exit silently and not generate any errors. If you want to test ADFFS compiles and works correctly w...

I don't think it's possible to shim Pacmania, I believe the mod player is internal.PaulV wrote:The only other observation I have which is unrelated to LCDgm but may be a good test for a QTM shim is Pacmania. On an ARM3 processor the soundtrack is horrific!

Re: Trackers we need to shim or upgrade
I've just double checked...its MusicModule, so ignore this one. So it sounds like we can shim the lot.JonAbbott wrote: MusicTracker
I'll have to go through all the discs and figure out which trackers they all use. Might take a while!

Re: Trackers we need to shim or upgrade
I'm not sure what these non-desktop boot scripts are? So far I've only used ADFFS by opening the ADF file and double clicking the game inside. If you have to leave the desktop, that is surely a step backwards? Even most old RiscOS 2 games support returning to desktop after use. On older 1 or 2 MB m...

Trackers we need to shim or upgrade
Looking at the master spreadsheet I've documented 222 of the 781 titles, the trackers/effect modules so far (ignoring version differences) are: 1 - BambuzleMusic 1 - BodgeMusic 1 - Coconizer 2 - D50_Syn 2 - DataVox 6 - DesktopTracker (shimmed) 2 - DSymphonyPlayer 12 - ExSound (32 bitted) 1 - Gremlin...
