Re: Exodus [32bit version] (2018) (JASPP)

Thanks for the reply! With that "disable_mode_changes" command line option set, and AnyMode running, I now get further. The ARTEX logo shows centered correctly, and the planet appears pixel-by-pixel as it should. The text from the intro comes up e.g. "civilization has failed", an...

Re: Exodus [32bit version] (2018) (JASPP)

Hi Jon, Thanks for the reply. I did not think ADFFS would be needed, because it's the 32-bit version. So I've not tried with it yet. I'll test that tomorrow. I posted more information in the ROOL thread here: https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/1/topics/11968#posts-98026 AnyMode didn't help; it ...

Re: Exodus [32bit version] (2018) (JASPP)

I've just tried this on a Raspberry Pi 3b+. Latest stable RISC OS 5 ROM image.

It gets to the ARTEX loading screen, and then shows a planet picture, and then exits.

What can I do to help debug this?

Re: Codelet recycling

Is the codelet recycling to solve the codelet reentrancy problem needed for Cannon Fodder, etc? Or is it something else?

Re: Spheres of Chaos

OK, cool.

The best would be if the author still has the source so a clean 32-bit version can be produced. :)

Spheres of Chaos

Spheres of Chaos is available from the author at http://www.spheresofchaos.com/p/download.php

That release isn't 32-bit compatible. Is it a good candidate for working with ADFFS? Or perhaps it could be recompiled for native support of modern machines?

Cool, thanks for the update!

Re: ADFFS 2.39 beta

Would much additional work be required to run Cannon Fodder on the Pi?

Are you particularly targeting the ARM11, or aiming for compatibility with the xscale, cortex-a8, and cortex-a9 too?
